About The Company
Lynd Clinical was founded to address a structural gap in clinical research: the majority of trials are conducted in a small number of concentrated markets, while large, medically relevant patient populations in community and rural settings remain largely inaccessible.
We are building a network of purpose-built clinical research sites in these underserved markets—expanding access for patients, strengthening partnerships with local providers, and creating new pathways for sponsors to reach populations that have historically been underrepresented in research. Each site is supported by experienced principal investigators, sub-investigators, and dedicated research teams with deep clinical and operational expertise in their local markets.
Our model is designed for scale. Through a combination of de novo site development and selective acquisitions, Lynd is establishing a standardized, high-performance network capable of delivering consistent enrollment and execution across geographies.
As the network grows, Lynd will continue to invest in infrastructure, partnerships, and technology that improve how patients are identified, matched, and engaged in clinical trials - bringing research closer to where care is delivered.
Meet Our CEO
Matt Ullum is an operations and growth leader with experience across clinical research, pharma/biotech, and healthcare delivery. He focuses on building scalable, high-performing research organizations that combine disciplined execution with technology-enabled infrastructure.
He has worked directly with community hospitals and physician groups to improve operations and care delivery - experience that informs his approach to expanding clinical research into underserved and community-based markets.
Matt has led core operational functions across multi-site research networks, spanning patient recruitment, study start-up, contracting, and market expansion. His work centers on improving the full execution cycle - from feasibility and activation through enrollment - with a focus on speed, precision, and consistent site-level performance.
He has also been an early adopter of applying advanced technology within clinical research operations, helping to shape approaches to protocol evaluation, patient identification, and patient matching.
As CEO of Lynd Clinical, he is building an AI-enabled, physician-aligned clinical research site network designed to expand access to high-quality research in rural and community settings through a combination of de novo site development and strategic acquisitions.
